RPA Consulting Services

Kapala Tech is a digital transformation consultancy serving Brazil, the United States and Canada that provides RPA consulting services: identifying which processes to automate, choosing the right platform among UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate Desktop and Blue Prism, and building robots that work with systems such as SAP, Oracle JD Edwards, TOTVS, COUPA, SAGE, ServiceNow and Salesforce. With 30+ years of experience, Kapala designs automations to be maintainable, monitored and auditable.

What do RPA consulting services include?

RPA consulting services cover the whole automation lifecycle: finding the right processes, choosing a platform, building and testing the robots, and keeping them running when the systems around them change. Kapala Tech can take on any of these steps or all of them.

  • Process discovery and prioritization by volume, effort, error rate and business impact
  • Platform selection based on your systems, licensing and IT landscape
  • Robot design and development, including exception handling and logging
  • Integration with ERPs, procurement, finance, EHS and CRM systems
  • Testing, deployment and hand-over documentation
  • Ongoing support and adjustments when upstream systems change

Which processes are good candidates for RPA?

The best RPA candidates are rule-based, repetitive, high-volume processes that use structured data and stable screens. Typical examples are entering data from one system into another, reconciling records, checking documents against rules, and generating recurring reports.

Processes that change every month, depend on judgment, or could be solved by a direct API integration are usually better handled another way. Part of good RPA consulting is saying when not to use a robot.

  • Finance: bank reconciliation, invoice processing, month-end close tasks
  • Supply chain: inventory reconciliation between systems, purchase requests and approvals
  • Operations and quality: moving lab or inspection results into the ERP
  • EHS and compliance: tracking document and training expirations, preparing audit reports
  • Management reporting: consolidating data from several ERPs

UiPath vs Automation Anywhere vs Power Automate vs Blue Prism: which should you choose?

There is no single best RPA platform; the right choice depends on your existing Microsoft licensing, the scale of automation you plan, and your governance requirements. Kapala Tech works with all four, so the comparison below is about fit, not loyalty.

RPA platforms by typical use case (qualitative)
PlatformOften a strong fit whenConsider
Power Automate DesktopYou are a Microsoft 365 company and want desktop automation that works with Power Automate cloud flowsUnattended runs and premium connectors need paid licensing; large robot fleets need careful governance
UiPathYou plan a broad automation program with many robots, document processing and central orchestrationPlatform breadth comes with more components to license and operate
Automation AnywhereYou prefer a cloud-native, web-based automation platformEvaluate how it fits your existing tooling and skills
Blue PrismYou need tightly governed, centrally controlled automation, common in regulated industriesTypically a more structured, IT-led development model

Which systems can your robots work with?

Kapala Tech has integrated automations with SAP, Oracle JD Edwards, TOTVS, COUPA, SAGE, SOC (EHS), Salesforce and ServiceNow, as well as email, spreadsheets, web portals and file shares. When a system offers an API, we prefer the API over screen automation because it is faster and less fragile; robots fill the gaps where no API exists.

How do you keep RPA robots from breaking?

Robots break when screens, credentials or data change, so stability is designed in rather than hoped for. Kapala Tech builds automations with explicit exception handling, logging that business users can read, alerts when a run fails, and documentation of every system and screen the robot touches.

When an upstream system is updated, that documentation makes it quick to see which robots are affected and adjust them before they fail in production.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between RPA and system integration?

Integration connects systems through APIs or messaging, while RPA operates applications through their user interface like a person would. Use integration when APIs exist and RPA when they do not, or for legacy desktop applications.

Is Power Automate Desktop enough, or do we need UiPath?

For Microsoft-centric companies with moderate automation volume, Power Automate Desktop is often enough. Large programs with many unattended robots and document-heavy processes may justify UiPath or a similar platform.

Can RPA work with SAP?

Yes. Kapala Tech has built automations that work with SAP, Oracle JD Edwards, TOTVS and other ERPs, combining screen automation with available interfaces where possible.

Can RPA be combined with AI?

Yes. Robots can use AI to read documents, classify requests or extract data from unstructured text, using services such as Azure AI Foundry or large language models from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google.

How do we start an RPA project?

Start with a short list of candidate processes. Email contato@kpla.com.br and Kapala Tech will help you assess them and recommend where automation pays off first.
